What stays on your device
If you pick a province on the home page, we remember it in your browser's local storage so it's selected next time. It never leaves your device, and you can clear it any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Hosting and fonts
ClearVote is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any host, Cloudflare processes standard request information, such as your IP address, to deliver the site and keep it secure, under its own privacy policy. Our fonts are served from our own site, not a third party.
Links to other sites
We link to official election sites and to candidates' own websites and social pages. Those sites are run by other people and have their own privacy practices. We don't control them or vouch for what's on them.
What we publish about people
Candidate names, ridings and parties come from the official lists published by Elections BC and the City of Chilliwack. Short descriptions come from each candidate's own site or from local news coverage. We do not publish candidates' or their agents' personal contact details.
Disclaimer

We work to keep our pages accurate and check them against official sources, but dates, lists and rules can change and mistakes can happen. We can't accept responsibility for decisions made using this site. Always confirm dates, eligibility, ID requirements and voting places with Elections BC, the City of Chilliwack, or the relevant election authority.
